Give my regards to Chicken Street

MJB is back from Kabul. He's talking about driving treacherous roads to Massoud's tomb, and seeing ISAF troops (not the International Security Assistance Force, but the International Shopping Around Force) haggling for carpets on Chicken Street. He said the biggest challenge was learning to eat with his hands. Evidently Afghans sculpt the rice into little balls before shovelling it in their mouths. They say the food has no flavour, and vegetarian food may be hard to come by, but I would so die to go.
